U of T Scarborough breaks ground on new 750-bed residence

Construction is underway on a new 750-bed student residence building that will double the current residence capacity at the University of Toronto Scarborough. ?

The new residence, which will be located on Ellesmere Road just east of Military Trail, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023 and will meet a growing demand for on-campus housing options.

The University of Toronto’s stellar reputation for research and teaching places it among the top 20 schools in the world, according to the latest ranking by Times Higher Education.


U of T ranked first in Canada in 10 of 11 subjects by Times Higher Education

The University of Toronto ranked first in Canada, or shared the top spot, in 10 out of 11 subjects – one more than a year earlier?– according to the latest Times Higher Education subject rankings.

U of T was one of only nine universities in the world that ranked in the top 50 of all 11 subjects tracked by the Times Higher Education World Universities Rankings by Subject 2021, released Wednesday.
